MOV(Metal Oxide Varistor) P420L20W - Varistor

The "P420L20" varistor, often designated as V420LA20AP, is a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) with a continuous AC voltage rating of 420V and a peak current capability of 4500A for an 8/20µs pulse, commonly used for transient voltage suppression in various electronic applications. 

These devices are designed to protect circuits from voltage surges and spikes, acting as a voltage-dependent resistor where their resistance decreases as voltage increases, thereby absorbing excess energy.
